Thursday · Sep 24 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Introduction to GeoGebra — instructor-led walkthrough of the interface plus a guided example, so you're not starting cold before Week 2's take-home practice. Mission1's reflective essay is completed independently outside class — no class time is set aside for it; submit it in your shared Google Drive folder. Due Thu, Sep 24 · 23:59

Tuesday · Sep 29 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- TPACK/SAMR framework discussion, extended into "AI-TPACK." Reading (optional Brisk Teaching primer): Mishra & Koehler (2006), Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge; Puentedura (2014), SAMR and TPCK — skipping it costs no XP.
Before Thursday · by Oct 1
- Work through GeoGebra's own quick-start resources on your own and build one basic object (a point, a slider, a triangle). Start with the Learn GeoGebra Help Center or the interactive Learn GeoGebra Classic book; if you'd rather watch than read, browse the "Getting Started" videos on GeoGebra's official YouTube channel.
Thursday · Oct 1 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Guided GeoGebra build — building on Tuesday's intro and your take-home practice, construct a more substantial sketch than the basics, plus a peer check. Mission2 Due Thu, Oct 1 · 23:59
Week 3 — AI Literacy & Prompt Engineering / AI Worksheet Critique Oct 6 & Oct 8
Tuesday · Oct 6 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- Prompt-engineering practice for math tasks — live-prompt an AI tool as a class, critique the output together, revise the prompt. Reading (optional Brisk Teaching primer): Mollick (2023), The Homework Apocalypse.
Thursday · Oct 8 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- AI Worksheet Critique — compare a general AI tool's output with coteach.ai's on the same prompt. Mission3 Due Mon, Oct 12 · 08:00
Week 4 — Data Moves & CODAP Pedagogy Oct 13 & Oct 15
Tuesday · Oct 13 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- Data-moves & statistical-reasoning discussion — how data-driven inquiry differs from a traditional stats worksheet. Reading: Hudson et al. (2025), Data moves as a focusing lens for learning to teach with CODAP (Download the PDF (or open it in Drive)). Instead of a written reaction, chat about the reading with the Brisk Teaching reading chat by Tuesday 8:00 AM.
Before Thursday · by Oct 15
- Work through CODAP's own Educators guide and open one shared dataset on your own.
Thursday · Oct 15 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Guided CODAP investigation with your own dataset, plus a peer check. Mission4 Due Mon, Oct 19 · 08:00
Week 5 — UNESCO AI Competency Framework: Ethics Oct 20 & Oct 22
Tuesday · Oct 20 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- UNESCO AI-ethics framework discussion — apply the framework's Acquire/Deepen/Create levels to your own progress so far. Reading (optional Brisk Teaching primer): UNESCO (2024), AI Competency Framework for Teachers.
Thursday · Oct 22 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Major1 work session — revise and curate your strongest GeoGebra/CODAP/AI artifacts and finish the ~400-word rationale. Not a new Mission. Major 1 due Mon, Oct 26 · 08:00
Week 6 — Critical Perspectives on EdTech Oct 27 & Oct 29
Tuesday · Oct 27 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- Critical-perspectives debate — steelman both the techno-optimist and the critical position. Reading (optional Brisk Teaching primer, the most skippable of the semester's optional readings): Selwyn (2016), Minding Our Language.
Thursday · Oct 29
- NO CLASS (Republic Day), optional async side quest (details shared in the class Drive folder). Nothing due this week.
Week 7 — UDL + AI for Differentiation Nov 3 & Nov 5
Tuesday · Nov 3 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- Universal Design for Learning + AI discussion — draft a scaffolded/extension pair as a class. No assigned reading this week; start thinking about which prior Mission (2, 3, or 4) you'll extend for Mission 5.
Thursday · Nov 5 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Differentiation Mini-Task — extend one of your prior Missions. Mission5 Due Mon, Nov 9 · 08:00
Week 8 — AI-Powered Formative Assessment Nov 10 & Nov 12

Thursday · Nov 19 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Major2 work session — draft your annotated lesson artifact and ethics reflection; peer-review round. Not a new Mission. Major 2 due Mon, Nov 23 · 08:00
Week 10 — Backward Design for the Capstone Nov 24 & Nov 26
Tuesday · Nov 24 · 11:00–13:00 · EF 103
- Backward-design framing for your Capstone — this is the session where the Capstone comes into focus. Nothing to prepare beforehand: come ready to think out loud about a math topic and grade band. In class: a short mini-lecture on designing an AI-integrated unit backward from its learning goals, then you sketch a rough Capstone concept on your own, instructor circulating for feedback.
Thursday · Nov 26 · 11:00–13:00 · ETB 415
- Computational Thinking Mini-Task — write an algorithm or script for a familiar math procedure (long division, the quadratic formula) and name the computational-thinking practice it uses. The last of the 7 regular Missions. Mission7 Due Mon, Nov 30 · 08:00
